mic for rci6900 f 150

hey all , finally got my rci hooked up , still have a few bugs i think, but anyway i have an RK 56 that i prefer to use, but on this radio, it dont seem to work, low volume at least on the talkback on. been useing an old cobra factory mic, but i just dont like the way it feels, it seems better on volume, but i thnk there should be something better. your thoughts, suggestions

You really can't judge a mic by the talkback, you would be better stretching out a speaker wire and hooking up a speaker to the PA jack. If your interested in a new mic, check the sponsor's sites, my preference is the Astatic Red Devil but see what others say as well.

I have an old computer speaker sitting across the room, didn't think it would have ever been used again.

well i got a new Astatic mic , got my external speaker hooked up, everything is sounding good now. went for a weekend road trip down south, figuered out my radio works fine, just not many people in my area useing them anymore it seems, got a radio check from exit 4 in joplin, mo up to the 27 mm, it works, and that was on 19
