antenna on a small car
putting a base loaded, trunk lip mount style, on a small car(kia) and wondering if a firestick type would be better, as the trunk lid is so small and back window is so large, plus the antenna is leaned back about 20* ,seems like there is not enough groundplane forward. also dont want to drill any holes. what do you think could work better?

On a trunk mount I would use a center load antenna like the Hustler HQ27, the load essentially puts more signal at or above the roof line. The plus it a much better than a FireStik.

I agree - also a Firestick is going to look sort of ugly because of its thickness

Get a Sirio Performer 5000 with the trunk lip mount...It has a swivel base so you can tilt the antenna so it's not leaning backwards....
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
