I’m wondering if anyone has did a 2290 to 2879 conversion on a kenwood ts 430 I believe I will attempt it. Anyone done this and what did you run into on the biasing circuit? TIA

I have never seen this mod or heard of anyone doing it. It is not a drop in, the input and output transformers would need rewinding, I'm sure some caps and resistors would need to be changed out. I think it is a lot of work for just a few more watts.
