Mobile 10M SSB Rig choices
What I am looking for is a good working, receive and sounding SSB rig out of box. What are the top 5 preferred rigs currently or up and coming?
Also,
For simple mods (peek, tweak & 11m), which of those top 5 do better?
Thanks

Re: Mobile 10M SSB Rig choices
My pick is the Anytone AT-6666, only have to open the radio to drop the wattage for AM, the rest including the 11m mod is menu driven, I like this radio because of it's size. My second choice would be the Ranger RCI2950CD or RCI2970N2 and third would be the Stryker SR955HPC.
Now is you add a couple hundred more, I'd go for an Icom IC-7100, can't beat a real ham radio.

I'm using a President HR2510, good radio if you don't mind older equipment. HR2600 is another oldie but goody.
