Re: Which Antenna Analyzers
I have a MFJ-259B , do like it but I want to upgrade,, been looking at the Comet CAA-500MKII. It really depends on how many bands you want, if you only are doing the CB bands then the Rig Expert AA-35 ZOOM has enough frequency range, the AA-230 will let you do 2m, 6m, and 1.25cm ham bands if you want antennas there. I don't think I'll ever go above 70cm ham band so the Comet is the one for me.

Heck, I still haven't figured out everything the 259B does yet, I'd really be lost with these new analyzers.

There's a couple used 259B's listed on the auction site...but they are asking as much for them as what they cost New...mater-a-fact, one of them is listed for "more" than what I paid for mine New.Gunner357 wrote: Jul 13 2020, 19:59agreed Jesse I think ill see if i can find a preowned MFJjessejamesdallas wrote: Jul 13 2020, 19:58 Heck, I still haven't figured out everything the 259B does yet, I'd really be lost with these new analyzers.

Re: Which Antenna Analyzers
I like the graph too, and can connect it to the computer for a bigger view. The thing I like the most is it shows the lowest SWR and where it is at, then arches to the outer ends of the band or frequency, something a 259 can’t do. Yep, it is pricy but I figure building a couple antennas for locals will pay for it in the long run.

Re: Which Antenna Analyzers
I have gone a bit crazy with analyzers. I have MFJ-259C, Sark 100 (clone) and NanoVNA. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses. Easiest and fastest to use is the Sark 100.
Recently I've had use of a friend's RigExpert AA-600 and, if I were to start over, that's what I'd buy, simply because of the range of functionality and the ability connect it to a PC with a very good interface. I had occasion to correspond with their Ukraine-based Head of Tech Support, Alex Antonov, and he was extremely helpful. It's a refreshing change to talk with a support person who is qualified and knows the product line inside out.

As I mentioned, I was impressed with the AA-600 I borrowed. These RigExpert analyzers are definitely next level.

WELL I received the AA55zoom Rigexpert and it was DOA showed my base antenna at 25:1 my cable length at 70 its 60 ft so I hooked it up to my mobile which I know for a fact its 1:2 and it also showed 25:1 so then I did a self test on it and it failed all 3 tests hmmm first impressions I may head back to MFJ

My experience with RigExpert is that they are very well constructed and, as I have mentioned elsewhere, their technical support (based in Ukraine) is excellent.

OK, so not from a shop, so no warranty. Sounds like the seller or someone else has 'been at it'.
Hope you manage to get it sorted. If not, I suggest that you contact RigExpert directly. My experience is that they help you.
