need advice on which of the 4 antennas
hello ok due to HOA and budget more of HOA than budget I need final advice before i buy one of these 3 choices.
i'm will be using no more than 300 watts for DX the 3 antennas of choice are
1=imax2000 still not sure read bad reports about the length and bad SWR
.
2=SIRIO GPS27 1/2 WAVE CB/10M BANDS
3=Sigma Venom 1/2 Wave High Gain Silver Rod CB Base Station Antenna 10 & 11 Meters= liking this one
4=
Sigma Venom 5/8 Silver Rod, Performance
it's showing the same info as the 1/2 wave 1000watts 4.2 db gain

JMO, choice 3 and 4, I would cautiously look at, read the reviews, I'm not saying they are bad antennas but a local purchased the 5/8 and the coax attaching point fell apart in pieces, we did use it after I fashioned a terminal lug setup for him. The Sirio would be my choice and is the better antenna of those choices but is going to be seen. Probably the Imax would be best (I'm biting my tongue because I don't like fiberglass antennas) for you as it can be put up and taken down easily.

Is this something you are going to be putting up and down due to the HOA? Do you have any big trees in your yard? An aluminum antenna isnt really made to be taken apart many times. Really neither is fiberglass ones but they tend to hold up better. But they can also be camo painted and stuck in a tree and left there. Camo the coax as well and then bury the rest to your radio den.
