P.S. I particularly like ....
(1.) the "Quick Links" drop down on the top left; and
(2.) then within the "New Unread Posts" the 'Mark All Read' in small print on the top right of screen.

I keep a tab open for both the chat and active posts, a new post after it is approved (newbie's only) show up at the top (or bottom if you prefer) of the list.
