Will a SR440-HP W/3wDK and 60w swing overdrive my 1x2?

I've been thinking about selling my galaxy 949 and buying a Stryker SR-440HP; would 3wDK and around 60w swing(From what I hear) overdrive my 1x2? Has anyone owned these radios that knows how they swing?
I was gonna get an s-3, but these a lil better.

IMO the Stryker is not a good match with that amp because it will overdrive it.. If you want a Stryker you would do much better by getting a 4 pill..

yea the styker will overdrive the amp, but you can have the radio tuned so it will only swing to 40 watts, thats what I did,,

You would actually recommend swinging 60 watts in to an 80 watt 2290 transistor ?

Not only will it sound like a manure salesman with a mouth full of samples but it will not last long before it goes BOOM..

I think i might have to stick with ra on this one. Hes a tech on davemades and knows what hes sayin and if he said that i would listen and follow him
IMO. Never seen him lead anyone in the wrong direction

I RUN A NORTH POINT NP3 IN TO A 3PILL PUSHING A 8PILL .
NOW I DONT THINK I WOULD RUN A 3 WATT DEAD KEY INTO IT WITH IT SWINGING 60 WATTS A 1 WATT DEAD KEY WOULD WORK REALLY GOOD WITH THAT MUCH SWING ON A BOX . BUT THAN AGING ITS ALL ABOUT WHO AND HOW THE BOX WAS MADE . I WOULD NOT RUN A PALOMAR OR BOOM TYPE MADE BOX . FAT BOY ,DAVE MADE , EAST COAST ,XFORCE ARE A WHOLE OTHER TYPE BOX AND ARE RAN DIFFERENT

Well it's an east coast. I was stuck between the mag. s-3, the Northpoint NT3HP, and the Stryker SR-440HP since it's only $200 at GI Joes. Now I'm down to the Northpoint, I think that's the one I want. Now I just gotta sell my galaxy and find somewhere that you can get a northpoint at a reasonable price.

3 swinging 60? Talk about overmodulation. Thats BEFORE you put it into an amplifier........

If the radio will do that, you are really going to have to watch your mic gain to sound decent.........
