Ok looks like I did roll window up on coax at some point. It was mentioned to me in my lil Wilson post to be careful.

Now if I could figure out which Icon above is for attaching a pic, I’ll show you all to what you think.

Turns out I cut the whip too short. A lil wil replacement whip arrived today.

Now if the PAC Northwest will give me a rain free day I’ll get out and try again.

Explanation were good. Thanks

Put the new whip on 1:1.1 on channel 1 and SWR @ 3 channel 40. Have some trimming to do. If this doesn’t work, I’ll get a better antenna.

I was picking up decent. But don’t want to transmit with SWR still hight.

By the way was there good skip today? The channels were busy with chatter, even picking up faint on 38 and 40 about an hour ago.
