I'm looking for a unicorn, preferably working, Magnum Omegaforce S45HP10. I do not have Facebook or social media...you guys, and the radio, are my social media. I'd appreciate any leads in the right direction, eBay has been no help. Here's hoping you know of someone who has one in the closet that hasn't been claimed. A guy can hope, right? Before the questions start, it's just a radio I've been chasing after. My Dak's, 2000, 148 GTLs, and Connex 4800DXL have been found, and CB stands for "constantly buying" so, this is my next adventure.

You don't want that radio....They are purrrdy....but lemons...
Bought one bran new back when they came out...thing spent more time on the road in the back of a UPS truck going back and forth from my house to the warranty shop in Origen the whole time I owned it...
Each time it seemed like a different issue, but one problem that they never could fix was it jumping channels for no reason...
I've seen several post from others over the years on different forums posting similar problems with the S45HP...
Sam Lewis really dropped the ball on that radio IMO. (R.I.P.)
If you can find a Delta Force, it's a older version of the S45HP, and not prone to as many problems...if any.

Thank you, Jesse. I appreciate it! Last thing I need is another money pit radio. I guess I had them backwards. I thought the Delta was the older of the 2. I'll do more research. I'll holler at you on side band some time. I'm just down the road from you on Cedar Creek Lake. We're usually on 25 am on weekend nights.

I occasionally get on 25...one of my neighbors (Alamo) got me to get on the channel a few times...haven't been on there lately tho.
As for as ssb go's, I have a President McKinley mounted in my truck, and it does great on ssb and am...just not a power-house of a radio, unless you do like I did and run something like a 1x2 or 1x4 amp behind it...then it comes "ALIVE!"
By the way...A Delta Force just came available to bid on, on flee-bay...starting bid is at $350...other than a few minor scratchs on the side of the case from the mounting bracket, it looks to be in decent shape.
