RCI 69 Base station technician needs advice.

Hello Guys!!

RCI 69 Base station NO TX.

"Houston I think we have a problem here..." I was skipshooting via LSB and the BIRD went to zero.

Problem found: My pre-driver which is the new RT1 MOSFET (blew) shorted from gate to source. I have the new part on the bench. Now the question is..... How to set it's gate biasing voltage. I have no service manual for this beast.

Hello Rabit Ears,Just a thought, it might be a god idea to check some caps or resisters before you put the new part in.It is always posable to treat the effect instead of the cause.Regards,Warlock35po

Try sending an email to RCI service and see if they would reply the aligning specs, worth a shot.

Wife bought me a BRAND NEW RCI 2995 DXCF!!! and it has been working awesome for the last year and a half. Also bought a Versatuner 2 with the rotary odometer-type tuner to keep the SWRs down. As for the RCI 69.... pulled the power supply and the wife grinned when it went to the trash.
