Anyone Buy The New President Washington?
Has anyone bought the new President Washington? How do you like it? I have the old vintage Washington and was just wondering how the receiver performed. The vintage one was well known for their receiver and mine is stock. If you have one, tell us the perks. I see they only made a mobile version and didn't produce a base station. Your thoughts?

Don't have one but did read up on it, some YouTube's show the 11m mod and a mod to get it to 15m, with that said I would suggest a good manual antenna tuner or antennas tuned to the extra bands it has or the finals will be toasted in no time.
As far as specs, it seems to be right up there with some ham equipment.

MDYoungblood....Thanks for the information. Wow, 15-10 meters. That radio would make a good POTA (parks on the air) radio. Very small and compact too. I'll check out the Youtube mod. As for the tuning, I could use those ham sticks and switch them out. Either that, use my old MFJ tuner to keep the SWR's 1:1.

Radio will not goto 15 meters (21mhgs). It will only goto 10/11/12 meters.

You are absolutely correct, I got my wires crossed, the radio that is capable of 10m to 15m is the Radioddity QT80 and I believe it is cheaper in price than the new Washington III.

Thanks for the clarification. It's still a nice small radio for POTA for 12/10 meters. I will check out eat QT80.
