Base Amp Galaxy 95T2
Base Amp Galaxy 95T2
I have a Radio Active built 95T2 thats real Sweeeet. And lights up real nice like too. Ive got it hoooked up to a Antron 99 and would like to keep it that way . Skips rollin in big heavy on channel 6. Im lookin to take it to the next level Im into quality equipment and realize that you dont always get what you pay for. Im lookin to get the local slap on and wave a hand. What amps should I start to look at and realisticlly what type of minimum power should I be starting with ?

well your antron 99 i would not dead key more than 1500 into it
for audio and power superiority go with a tube amp or steel
but once again not into the antron
you can get you a Sb220 and do some pretty good talking
later down the road after the antenna is upgraded to beam then you can get you a steel tube and use the Sb220 for a driver
lots of was to go but one must learn to hop before one can fly

A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone
Ditto that. Combine that little amp with a beam, and you'd be surprised at what a difference it makes. Which BTW, most of DX is conditions anyway.North Texas Mudduck wrote:well your antron 99 i would not dead key more than 1500 into it

I can remember well the first amp I got. I was told the same thing and it didn't make me too happy. I did that though, and in hind site glad I did. Having a big amp is cool alright. Having a decent beam way up in the air is even better though (IMO). :D
