Increase receive.

I want to know how I can increase my receive and possibly cut out engine, fuelpump, and air conditioner blower noise? It seems like when I drive I have to turn my squelch half way up, it just seems like it though it's not half way up. Anyhow when I'm driving I'll move around on the channels and listen. So I turn my squelch down just a hair and I get static, but I can faintly hear fellas talking. Is there anyway I could cut some of the static to get the guys in more clearly? I have a galaxy 929, 102" whip on a spring, located in the middle of the front bed rail.

Are your power wires run in to the fuse box or the battery ?

fuse box, I tried to get my dad to run it to the battery but he wouldn't do it.

You need to run it to your battery if possible. It will help reduce some of your noise or feedback anyway, I wouldn't think that your ant. would too much to do with it. How long is your coax. It should be min of 18ft

my coax is 12 feet long, I need to get some longer because I just have it run through the back glass, and under the seat to the radio. Also one irritating thing is when I hit my brakes the switch on the brake pedal makes the needle jump and sometimes i get some static if the squelch is down enough.

I haven't heard of anything like that. I have no idea where that would be coming from.

AND YOU ALSO NEED YOUR SWRS CHECKED AND GET THE RADIOS POWER ON THE BATTERY ALSO IF YOU HAVE THE ANTENNA TO CLOSE TO THE CAB YOU RF WILL CAUSE THE SWRS TO BE HIGH YOU SHOULD TRY TO MOVE THE ANTENNA ABOVE THE CAB OR AWAY BY A FOOT SO THE REFLECT WILL BE LOW AND TAKE THE TRUCK TO A CB SHOP THAT HAS A MFJ METER TO CHECK THE COAX AND THE ANTENNA TO SEE IF THEY ARE MATCHED

A in-line filter may take some of the static out if it's coming from your hot wire.

If it's coming in through your antenna its much harder to take out the static you hear from your blower other electrically components in you vehicle.

Start there it might help.
