Grounding my antenna

#54722

Post by Hard Drive »

Where is the best place for me to connect my ground wire?

Anywhere on the pole or where the coax connect to the antenna?

What gauge grounding wire should I use?

Also, how long should my ground rod be?

I have heard 4’, 6’ or 8’.

I usually run a ground wire off both the u-bolt at the boom or mount all the way down and run a secondary off the masting connecting both to the earth ground.

See Above

I usually use #10 or #12 stranded. Solid core, or pretty much any type will work. The heavier, the better IMO.

8'
