you might be able to use a 4-pill, but just to be safe I'd get a 6-pill East Coast. 30Watts is perfect DK for a 6-pill

thanks for the info guys. i kind of wanted to keep things under 1000 watts. mainly cause i didnt want to have 3 altinators- welding cable power wires ect. i got a 20 foot international school bus that i use for a camper type rig and it has this big ol altinator on it. its probably a 150 amp or better. would this handle the 6 pill ????.

Most of the School buses and industrial type vehicles I've seen have 160-AMP alternators, a 6-pill will pull AT MOST 115 Amps at 13.8v; but the number is probably gonna be closer to 90-100. I think a 150 would run a 6-pill just fine as long as you have at least 2 but preferably 4 batteries in the system, preferably deep cycle.

If it's a bus converted to an RV, you will want to eventually upgrade to something like a 200 or 320 amp alt so you can run all the other RV stuff.

That would be a kick **Censored** setup!

I'm running 4pill FatBoy with my Connex 4600 turbo.

Dking at 30watts swinging to 150. It works great. love it but should have bought the 6pill instead. MORE POWER......

Getting 450 DK from this setup. depending on which scale you use. It swing 575 rms or 1620 PEP.  8)

I know everyone is going to scream 1620 PEP. Do the figures for yourself. 8)

hmm OK I didn't know if 30-watts was OK for a 4 but I guess it is. Go with the 4-pill then! You'd keep it under 1000 and wouldn't have to worry about the alt...

yah maverick, i think your right abought the 160 amp altinator. the thing only has one battery in it though. im useing my 95t2 as a base right now. i might just get a 6 pill base and not worry about altinators. i got a little uniden straight 40 elite something or other in the bus now. but then if i put that kind of power in the house my neighbors are gonna strangle me    decisions-decisions

What voltage are you running at and what meter are you using to test your power output?

Just curious.
