Receiver Antenna?

#59391

Post by Cat Driver »

Just got a Realistic DX-160 receiver and was wondering what type of antenna to use for it. I figured just a 40-50 ft wire along the top of the house would work. I have about 50 ft of #14 solid c0pper vinyl coated wire. Was just wondering if that would work alright.

Thanx,
Ronnie :D

that will work. just use some sort of insulators on each end to anchor it. i bought a sloper entenna and a slinky entanna off of e-bay. go to the shortwave section and they got all kinds of resonably priced entennas. if your going to put the slinky entenna outside, buy the BRASS slinky.i got a 92 foot brass slinky entenna and hung it under the eves of my house. works great. the wire will work to.
