Watt Meter Reading
Hi all
I picked up one of them Radio Shack SWR meters to test my radio and amp. I have tried two differant amps with the same radio and this meter. Both times when I deadkey it shows a certain reading, when I talk into the mic, the meter reading drops a bit untill I stop talking. Is this normal? I'm thinking it is since I tested it with two differant amps, ne is brand new.

Re: Watt Meter Reading
no its not normal.. either your deadkey is too high or your radio is not tuned right.SkinnyPuppy wrote:Hi all

ideally your deadkey should double in rms mode and quadruple in pep mode.
