INSTEAD OF BUYING A NEW RADIO I WOULD JUST HAVE THE FINALS REPLACED! CALL MIKE AT RADIOACTIVE OR AL AT SPARKY'S CB SHACK! THEY DO GOOD WORK PLUS IF YOU TELL THEM YOU ARE A CBRT MEMBER THEY WILL MOST LIKELY GIVE YOU A BETTER DEAL! JUST A SUGGESTION!

connex 3300HO uses 2 of the 2sc1969's, and they are still around, and if you can find the workman 1969's you'll get a little more power out of them,,,,,I have a radio that I use its 30 years old, no problems are you sure its the finals???

I don't think you should do anything to the radio. My humble opinion is that your radio has lost very little, if any, output and is operating normally. Anything that you changed from the time that you tested the radio the first time to now can greatly affect the result. If you originally tested the radio on a dummy load on a calibrated meter at a known voltage, and that is the exact same method you are using now, then you might have something to consider in the way of output loss. If you are using any other method, you are probably worrying about nothing.

Save your money. Make sure that your antenna system is in good working order. Take everything apart, wire brush it, inspect it for damage, replace any questionable components, and put it all back together. My bet is that your performance will return to your normally expected level regardless of what your watt meter is telling you.

Ok guys, thanks for the advice, checked all my connections, coax, antenna, and all. All is well there, Finals are just weak I think, got the radio used, so I dont know exactly how old it is. I dropped it off at my tech over in Georgia, gonna see what he thinks about it. He may say nothing at all is wrong. Thanks again!!
